If classroom style learning isn’t for you than KWETB have loads of alternatives to traditional education on offer. Baltinglass Outdoor Education Centre offers courses in hiking, orienteering and kayaking. Baltinglass is also at the frontline educational and ethical programmes. The centre offers a unique Leave No Trace course in which students learn about many issues such as respect for wildlife, waste disposal and how to minimise the effects of fire.
There are a whole host of apprenticeships on off at Kildare & Wicklow ETB, and programmes are diverse and varied. From Insurance Practise to plumbing, and from Agricultural Mechanics to International Finances there is specialised on the job training catering to all interests.
