Features
Over 34,000 students and learners every year flock to Limerick & Clare Education & Training Board (LCETB) in order to further their education or upskill. And with good reason – the diversity and scope of the programmes available are second to none.
Take Limerick College of Further Education for example – there are countless courses available that span all sectors, from Special Needs Assistant, to Business Administration, to Blacksmith and Iron Craft.
The quality and choice of programmes are just as strong in Ennis College of Further Education, with programme content designed for learners to progress straight into employment of into third level institutions.
If indoor learning doesn’t tickle your fancy, Limerick & Clare ETB is home to not one but two outdoor education centres. Let the Burren be your classroom with an evening course in Geology; participants will discover the diverse nature of the geological landscape as well are learning about fossils and maps.
If you are the adventurous type the Burren Outdoor Education Centre also offers courses in Mountain Training, Cave Training, and Sea Kayaking.
With over 33 further education and training centres to choose from and an annual budget of €130 million it’s no wonder why LCETB is a regional leader when it comes to education.
