Glow Up: Discover the beauty of FET
Maura Higgins will make her Irish TV presenting debut this week as the host of ‘Glow Up – Ireland’s Next Make-Up Star’, which launches tomorrow, Thursday, 2nd September. The show puts ten of Ireland’s best amateur make-up artists (MUA) through a series of challenges, to test their technical knowledge, skills, artistry and imagination. The programme also showcases how the world of professional Make-Up Artists can offer many exciting national and international career options.
If you dream of being a professional MUA and perhaps even taking your place on Glow Up Ireland one day, Further Education Training (FET) can set you on the right path.

Clare enrolled at Senior College Dun Laoghaire (now Blackrock Further Education Institute) and through a combination of practical experience and theoretical modules, not only did Clare finish the course prepared for the workplace but she went on to represent #TeamIreland in Beauty Therapy at the 2011 WorldSkills Competition, competing with the best students in her field from around the world.
