DFEI Student Daniel Byrne Wins “Smedias” Production of the Year Award 2021
Congratulations are in order for Dun Laoghaire Further Education Institute student, Daniel Byrne who was awarded the Best TV Production for his project “Life in Lockdown” at the National Student Media 2021 Awards, the “Smedias”, on 2 June 2021.
The Smedias give students in radio, TV production, journalism, broadcasting and writing to showcase their work to a judging panel of prominent figures in the Irish media industry. This year’s judges included social media personality James Kavanagh, a number of editors and producers from Ireland’s leading media companies and well-known presenters such as Angela Scanlon and Richard Chambers.
